How to be Kind to Yourself
If you talked to your best friend the way you talk to yourself… would you still be friends?
In these #nudenotes, I'm sharing some ideas on how to be kinder to yourself, especially when the pressure to be perfect feels loud.
We all know that creative work is hard enough of a challenge, without your own voice tearing you down.
Here’s the truth:
It’s not just what you say to yourself - it’s how you say it.
Your tone, your rhythm, the tiny jabs you don’t even notice... they matter.
You’re not "weak" or "stupid" - you're a human doing hard things.
You deserve a voice in your head that raises you up, not one that pulls you down.
This isn’t about shutting down your inner critic - it’s about understanding it.
That harsh voice?
It’s usually just fear, trying (badly) to protect you.
Give it a nod, then let your compassion overtake it.
